www.theblueproject.org Team Description Conrad, at 28 years old, became the youngest skipper to win the BT Global Challenge. He has since gone on to sail in a number of high profile races and regattas in his Open 60. He competed in the last Vendee Globe where he famously dived into shark infested waters to replace a broken rudder. In 2007, he took the 3rd place in the Volvo Extreme 40 circuit. Ryan has been sailing small cats since 2002 in Hobie 16ís (3rd UK Nationals 2004, 2nd Travemunde week 2004), F18 Hobie Tigers (11th Carnac 2005 out of 144 boats) all as helm. Tornado Sport 2006 season (3rd UK boat at Nationals), and Hurricance 5.9 National Champions 2006, 2007 season formula 18 with Hugh Styles coming 5th at Eurocat, 6th at premier edition of Raide Bleu Regatta and winning the Dutch Open Championships, all as crew.
