Team Description Rookies Season 2009 D35 – Challenge Julius Baer, on Veltigroup with skipper Stève Ravussin, for Andreas, and M2 – Safram Speed tour, on Team Parmigiani for Samuel. And specific training for the Archipelago Raid. Samuel was on the D35 circuit during the season 08 and owned different Formula 18 during the last 6 years. Andreas gained offshore experience by achieving two “Tours de France à la voile” with the team “Ville de Genève”. This race gave a good training for sailing under difficult conditions, especially involving only little sleep. Together they won the race “5 jours du leman” a, five days long, non-stop race without assistance and a crew of only two. Sailing about 100 days per year, they sail on different boat types and racing styles from the European Circuit of Australian 18 footer to different Match Races passing also through the Student Sailing Circuit with, as major achievement, the victory at the Sywoc 2007. Samuel worked in a Sail loft as Sailmaker (Voiles Gautier, www.voiles.ch), making also design. Victories: 2007 Student Yachting World Cup (Grand-Surprise, France) , 2008 5 Jours du Léman (Monotype Surprise, Switzerland), 2008 Match Race de Lyon, grade 4 (First Class 7, France), 2008 Match Race “Coupe de l’America des 6m50” (6m50 SI, Switzerland), 2007 Match Race University Challenge Valencia 2006 (Tom28, Spain), 2006 Bol d’Or lac de Neuchatel (18 footer, Switzerland).
