A nerve wrecking final ahead
Now is the moment of truth. Team Thule Strandberg/Örtendahl won today’s leg 9. It means that Thule only got 1 point less than overall leaders Citus. Citus finished 2nd on the leg and Audio Networks 3rd, managing to get back into the game after yesterdays breakdowns. The second Swedish team was Hĺllsten/Torlén. Team Bourgnon/Gauthier came in as a new player of the top five teams and made a great leg by finishing fifth in these tough conditions with an older boat. The last team Piano has just finished the leg at 11 and in an hour leg 10 is scheduled to start. Anything can happen for the final leg. The only thing that looks clear is that either Citus or Thule will get the 1 prize, since it looks almost impossible for Audio Network to catch up the more than 20 points distance. It seems clear that the either one will be winning. The last leg will start at 12 o clock and take the fleet back to Stockholm and AT SEA conference center at Lidingö where this tremendous adventure started 6 days ago. The organizers hope the wind will pick up but it seems the fleet will have to sail under the rain again.
