The Teams are Ready to Rock
Today at 11 am local time the 22 teams will set off into the wild landscape of the Stockholm, ?land and Finnish archipelago. Those teams who have done it before know what is awaiting and the rookies are quite excited to find out...

Some comments before the start:

Eric Proust and Romain Motteau // TEAM KALIX (several previous podiums): "We are ready, impatient to go and to finish! Our objective: Stockholm, in six days..."

Vincent AndrČ & Alessandro Vercio // DARE 2 "This is our first experience of the Raid and our first experience to navigate together. We will have fun!"

Ellen MacArthur // BT: "It's our second raid for each (on different teams). It will be nice to sail together."

Jouni Romppanen and Jari Pekka Kiiski // COTTONFIELD: "We're happy, it's gonna be real fun, we have very positive feelings, although we know we're going to suffer a little but well... I'm glad to go sailing in the Finnish archipelago because I've worked there for the last 15 years, as a helicopter pilot ! I know, with the sea which is low now, that we'll have to be careful."

Karin Almquist and Karin Berg // GB GLACE: "We're ready, a bit nervous but impatient to go.."

Conrad Humphreys // TEAM BLUE OCEANS: "We're very excited, it's nice to be here. The Raid is a beautiful combination between race and environnment, which are my two passions. It's good to be here for the second time, we know more or less what to expect, we're more prepared. Ryan (Crawford) is a great crew, he has a lot of energy, until the end of the week, he'll stay up and be ready. Our team is a good mix I think."

Ronny Haals and Jonathan Barck // ?BIT: We're the first ?land team ever! I've done the Raid twice before, but it's the first time there is a full team from ?land. We're ready, excited, we feel great. We know it will be wild. For us this year is more like a test, we would like to come back next year seriously trained and prepared."
